While Puerto Banús is in the spotlight, Nueva Andalucía offers much more peace and quiet. As indicated, Puerto Banús is the most important spot in Nueva Andalucía. Both in terms of cuisine and in terms of shopping and nightlife, this port offers a wide variety of possibilities. Here you will never get bored of all the opulent luxury that can be found there. Stroll along Calle Ribera and enjoy the beautiful sea view with the stunning yachts that are located there, or go out at night in the most exclusive bars of the Costa del Sol.
3. Culinary delights
In the meantime, it is already clear that you will find a wide range of gastronomy in Puerto Banús. But those who prefer to stay out of the hustle and bustle can certainly visit other places in Nueva Andalucía.
Feel free to have lunch or dinner at Magna Café. If you book a table here, be sure to ask for a table on the terrace, because from there you can look out over the nearby golf course. Since 2005, Magna Café has been a benchmark for healthy and organic cuisine, and the service is excellent!
Just behind the port of Puerto Banús you can also taste delicious international cuisines. Occo, for example, is a Lebanese restaurant where they serve the most refined Lebanese dishes, each one based on fresh ingredients. Or drop by La Sala Banús for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner, where you can also enjoy live music in the bar at night. There is always something to do at La Sala Banús!
Another place we like to go is Breathe. This cozy restaurant is located behind Puerto Banús and offers a refreshing gastronomy with the best seasonal products.
4. Lifestyle
When you stay in Nueva Andalucía, you will notice that it is very easy to avoid the hustle and bustle of Puerto Banús. With the sea and the port just 10 minutes away, you can fully enjoy everything Nueva Andalucía has to offer. This city has all the facets to create a dream life, with luxurious new build projects close to the Mediterranean Sea, in a quiet environment where a healthy lifestyle dominates. This is an ideal location for both young and old.
5. Nightlife
If you would like to spend an evening on the Costa del Sol, you don’t have to go far away from Nueva Andalucía. Just 10 minutes away you are in Puerto Banús, where there are endless possibilities.
So in Nueva Andalucía itself you can perfectly relax without being disturbed by the hustle and bustle from the port. But depending on what suits you, you can enjoy the fine bars and restaurants that are nearby as well.
6. Shopping
As expected, most shops are located in Puerto Banús. Here you will find top class designer boutiques and you can also visit El Corte Inglés. There are several shopping malls such as Centro Plaza or Marina Banús, but most designer labels can be found in the harbor, along Calle Ribera.
7. Sports & Leisure
As in most cities on the Costa del Sol, it is certainly possible to do water sports. At Water Sports Puerto Banús you can jet ski & water ski, windsurf, kayak and much more.
In addition, as in many other places, golf is one of the biggest leisure activities, and of course some of those fantastic golf courses are located in Nueva Andalucía.
Aloha Golf Club is one of the most renowned golf clubs on the Costa del Sol. The course runs through trees and lakes with stunning views of the mountain ‘La Concha’ and the Mediterranean Sea. Javier Arana, the designer, has further enhanced the playing experience by planting a wide range of trees and shrubs that provide a beautiful color palette throughout the year.
Real Club de Golf Las Brisas strives to be the private club of choice for those who enjoy an exceptional golfing experience in a relaxed environment. Their focus is on providing excellent service, well-maintained facilities, excellent food and a variety of social events for their members and guests.
Los Naranjos has a classic design with wide streets and strategically placed bunkers and water barriers. It was voted Costa del Sol Golf Course of the Year 2005 & 2008, and has hosted several major golf events since its opening in 1977.
8. Beaches & Beach Clubs
Also for beaches and beach clubs it is best to take a look in Puerto Banús. The port has 3 pleasant beaches, namely Playa Nueva Andalucía, Playa Puerto Banús and Playa del Rio Verde.
Playa Nueva Andalucía and Playa del Río Verde have both been awarded a blue EU flag. This means that they have excellent facilities and high standards of hygiene.
Playa Puerto Banús is located next to the port and Playa del Río Verde. This beach is just over a kilometer long and is filled with fine sand. The water here is calm and shallow, which makes it very interesting for families. Here you will find nice beach bars such as La Pesquera or Levante Beach Club, which both serve delicious dishes in combination with the best wines.
